What the Homeowner Wanted

This Geist-area family wanted to upgrade all three bathrooms at once — the master bath plus both bathrooms for their teenage and college-aged children. The kids' bathrooms were dated and due for a refresh, but the master presented the bigger challenge: the existing layout wasn't conducive to a large shower, with an awkward entry door and linen closet eating up valuable space.

How We Built It

We tackled all three bathrooms as one unified project. In the master, we modified the entry door location and reconfigured the linen closet to create a much more efficient use of space — unlocking room for the large shower the homeowners wanted. The master became a top-to-bottom transformation: vaulted ceilings, double vanities with backlit mirrors, a custom storage tower built as the room's anchor, and a freestanding soaker tub positioned exactly where the morning light hits. The navy crackle-glaze picket tile — hand-glazed with a finish that makes every tile one-of-a-kind — became the signature of the space. Every detail was intentional: champagne bronze fixtures for warmth, matte black hardware for contrast, herringbone-laid floor tile for movement, heated floors for cold Indiana mornings, and a vintage pendant over the tub to tie it all together. The children's bathrooms received their own complete remodels with warm wood-tone vanities and coordinated finishes. The complete Schluter waterproofing system was installed across all three bathrooms. All plumbing by licensed plumber, all electrical by licensed electrician.
